The discovery of cannabidiol (CBD) as an antioxidant has revolutionized medicine. They are found in the bloodstream and in various tissues, including muscle tissue, fat tissue, brain and liver cells, and are responsible for diseases such as coronary artery disease, heart disease, cancer, and diabetes. Some of these free radicals can cause cancer, so CBD is used in many clinical trials to inhibit their growth. Another phytochemical called gluten, which is also a form of antioxidants, is thought to have similar antioxidant activity, although much less toxic.

Researchers have not yet proven that CBD can prevent or cure or prevent or treat cancer. The results of animal studies indicate it may reduce tumor growth.
